A CUSTOM-MADE BULLETIN BOARD.

It's been a slow, soggy day, the perfect excuse to surf some of our favorite websites, tagging new ideas to our pinterest boards.   Today's favorite find-  Courtesy of Martha Stewart - repurposing FLOR tiles to create your personalized message board.

Flor tiles come in 19.7" x 19.7" squares (50cm x50cm) and there are 98 different patterns and colors to choose from (priced at $7.99 - $40 per each).  Most desks range 48"-60" wide, so your ideal pattern would be up to 3 squares across (flanking the desk on both sides is also perfectly fine).  If you prefer going smaller, you can order the sample size (6" x 6" at $1.67 each) to create a smaller board.

To create your custom bulletin board:  Pick colors or patterns that complement the color scheme of the room.  Keep in mind that you will be pinning pieces of paper of various sizes to the board, so a busy pattern might be too busy to the eye.  If you find a pattern that you love, you can always order it and use it as it's original purpose - on the floor, and pick complementing colors for the wall.  Use a staple gun to attach the squares to the wall, and push pins to pin to your new board.  Enjoy!
